Matthew J. Broder,

Mr. Broder was appointed vice president, communications by the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) in June 2016. In this role, Mr. Broder has overall responsibility for FAF, FASB, and GASB communication activities—including executive, internal, social, and web-based communications.

Mr. Broder brings extensive communications experience to the FAF. Prior to joining the FAF, he served as vice president, Corporate Communications for Daymon Worldwide, a global leader in consumables retailing. There, Mr. Broder was responsible for all internal, external, and digital communications for the private-branding firm’s U.S. operations.

Earlier, Mr. Broder served as vice president, External Communications, at Pitney Bowes, and as a communications executive at United Technologies.

Mr. Broder began his career in journalism and served as a speechwriter to former Gov. William O’Neill of Connecticut.

Mr. Broder received a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Yale School of Management.
