FAF Issues Statement in Honor of Jodi Dottori, FAF Chief of Staff, Who Died Saturday

Norwalk, CT, May 12, 2014—The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) today released the following statement regarding FAF Vice President and Chief of Staff Jodi P. Dottori, who died Saturday.

The statement should be attributed to FAF President and Chief Executive Officer Teresa S. Polley:

“All of us at the FAF, the FASB, and the GASB are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend and colleague, Jodi Dottori, following a courageous fight with cancer. Beyond his extraordinary contributions to the work of the FAF, the FASB and the GASB, and his commitment to excellence in everything he did, Jodi’s warmth, grace, friendliness, humor and generosity of spirit profoundly affected everyone who knew and worked with him.

“Jodi will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives he touched. We honor Jodi by remembering not only his work at the FAF, but the life he lived as a man—as a husband, father, colleague and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jodi’s wife, Paloma, and their two young children.”

Mr. Dottori had served as vice president and assistant secretary of the FAF since January 2009. He was appointed to the role of chief of staff of the Foundation in April 2010, after serving four years as its general counsel.

Prior to joining the FAF, Mr. Dottori was assistant general counsel of DSL.net. Earlier, he served in several management and executive positions for priceline.com, including senior vice president, general counsel and General Manager of its European operations, and vice president and assistant general counsel of its U.S. operations. He was a former corporate partner of Cummings & Lockwood.
