FAF ISSUES STATEMENT OF APPRECIATION FOR AWARD FROM NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK ACCOUNTANTS
Norwalk, CT—June 29, 2015—The following statement should be attributed to Teresa S. Polley, president and chief executive officer of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF):
“On behalf of the FAF, the FASB, and the GASB, I’d like to express our deepest appreciation and thanks to the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.) for the 2015 Chairman’s Award bestowed on our organization at NABA’s recent national convention in Las Vegas.
“During the past year, NABA has become a critically important partner in our effort to increase the diversity of our organization and of the accounting profession as a whole. We look forward to working with NABA Board Chairman Kenneth E. Cooke, CPA, and other NABA leaders in the months and years ahead to help achieve our mutual goal of expanding opportunities and recognition for women and men of color in the accounting profession.”
