Paul G. Camell joined the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in January 2012. Mr. Camell chairs the Appointments and Evaluations Committee.

Prior to his retirement in 2013, Mr. Camell was executive vice president, Mergers and Acquisitions, and chief administrative officer of CDM Smith, a full-service consulting, engineering, construction and operations firm that provides lasting and integrated solutions in water, environment, transportation, energy and facilities to public and private clients worldwide. From 1972 to 2013, he led CDM Smith’s mergers and acquisitions, participating in more than 60 completed transactions worldwide.

From 2001 to 2013, Mr. Camell had responsibility for the executive leadership of the corporate departments for facilities, finance, accounting, tax and treasury, human resources, and information technology. From 1984 to 2001, he served as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He has been on the CDM Smith Board of Directors since 1987, and serves on the Executive and Finance Committees.

Mr. Camell is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Institute of Management Accountants, National Association of Accountants, Financial Executives Institute, National Association of Corporate Treasurers, Professional Services Management Association, Risk and Insurance Management Society, and Construction Financial Management Association.

Mr. Camell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Bentley University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Suffolk University.
