
Ms. Seitz is chief executive officer of William Blair Investment Management. In this role, she is a member of William Blair & Company’s executive committee and leads William Blair Investment Management, the money management operation of William Blair & Company, consisting of the institutional, mutual fund, and private wealth management businesses. She is directly responsible for William Blair’s largest business, managing over $48 billion in assets.
Ms. Seitz serves as the chairman of the board and president for the William Blair Funds, offering 25 open-end mutual funds in the areas of international and global equity, U.S. equity, multi-asset, U.S. fixed income, and cash management. William Blair also acts as advisor to six offshore funds.
Ms. Seitz has 26 years of investment experience and over 15 years of executive leadership responsibility.
Prior to becoming chief executive of William Blair Investment Management in 2001, she was responsible for the leadership of Wealth Management Services and Private Wealth Management. Her previous experience includes senior portfolio management roles with Nationsbank in North Carolina.
Ms. Seitz is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has been profiled in Forbes magazine, Pensions & Investments, the Financial Times, the Chicago Tribune, Crain's Chicago Business, Financial News, Shareholder Value magazine, and a business book, Investment Leadership, by James Ware.
Ms. Seitz has a B.S. degree in accounting from Indiana University and received her Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1990. She is co-chair of The Chicago Council’s Women and Global Development Forum and is an active member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and The Economic Club of Chicago.
