Mack Lawhon, CPA, is chairman of the Board of Partners for Weaver, LLP, one of the largest independent accounting firms in the Southwest. Mr. Lawhon has more than four decades of public practice experience in client service, firm management, firm leadership, and practice growth. Mr. Lawhon joined the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) in January 2011, and serves on the Appointments and Evaluations Committee and chairs the Private Company Review Committee.
Mr. Lawhon has been heavily involved in professional activities, previously serving as the past president of the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and the past vice-president and member of the Executive Committee of the TSCPA. The TSCPA also honored him with its 2013-2014 Meritorious Service Award. Mr. Lawhon is a member of the AICPA Management of an Accounting Practice Committee, member of AICPA Council, past chairman of the Board of Directors for PKF North American Network, past president of Because We Care, Inc., past board member of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth and a Paul Harris fellow, past board member of the James L. West Special Care Center, past member of the Board of Governors of the Fort Worth Club, former board member of Colonial Country Club and River Crest Country Club, and former chairman and past board member of the Gladney Center for Adoption. Currently, Mr. Lawhon serves as a Trustee of the Davey O’Brien Foundation, a board member of the Baker Tilly International Board of Directors, and is also a board member of Fort Worth’s Cook Children’s Hospital.
