Government Affairs and External Relations
The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is responsible for the oversight, administration, and finances of the FASB and GASB. Part of this mission includes informing federal, state and local government officials regarding issues that affect accounting standard-setting in the United States. The FAF government affairs and external relations department acts as a liaison on behalf of FAF/FASB/GASB to all of the key stakeholders including Congress, the Administration and professional associations.
The department is available to assist government officials, members of their staff and stakeholders with specific questions or provide additional information regarding accounting standards and current projects on the FASB/GASB agendas.
